Lost Property

If you lose anything at Community Festival 2018, please contact [email protected]

Please clearly describe the item you lost and provide your full contact details so we can get it back to you safe and sound.

Age Restrictions

Community Festival is not suitable for young children. Children under 5 (aged 4 or below) are not permitted.

Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18 or over) at all times and will need a full price ticket.

Unathourised Ticket agents and Ticket Touts

If you see tickets advertised anywhere other than official outlets you stand a good chance of getting ripped off. This is because the terms and conditions of sale and entry state that tickets are non-transferable, which means that once purchased you can’t sell them on to others for profit. If you do buy from an unauthorised source you stand a good chance of being refused entry. Festival Republic will be unable to assist you if you have bought from an unauthorised source, as we will have no purchase history available for the ticket.

Read more information here.

Keeping it Green

Green Community

We hope you love Finsbury Park as much as we do and want to help us keep it one of London’s favourite green spaces. We are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of the festival and need your help to make it happen.

Last year the carbon footprint of the festival was 192 tonnes of CO2e, we want to reduce it this year.

The emissions from travelling to the festival make up 80% of the entire festivals carbon footprint (source: The Show Must go On Report, 2015).

Coach travel and public transport is much better for the environment. See the Big Green Coach pick up locations here and the best way to travel via public transport here.

Read The Show Must Go on Report here.

Three Bin System

We run a three-bin system at the festival, which means every bin station will be formed by 3 bins:

COMPOST – When you buy food from the traders at Community Festival, everything your food comes in is compostable so plates, cutlery and napkins can be placed in the compost bins along with the food scraps.  Please make sure NO PLASTIC goes into the compost.

RECYCLE – Plastic bottles, aluminium cans, newspapers, magazines and clean and dry cardboard (no used greasy pizza boxes as these do not recycle).

GENERAL WASTE – There should be minimal left over that goes into General Waste.

Bin Your Butts

Every butt has to be picked up by hand, so it would be awesome if you did not flick your cigarette and put it out before you bin it.

Water Refills

Tap water is free. Please feel free to refill your bottles at the taps provided.

Cup And Bottle Deposits

We have joined forces with the Greenpeace events team again this summer to help festival-goers stem the tide of plastic pollution which is one of the greatest threats to our oceans. All plastic bottles and cups bought at Community will have a 10p refundable deposit.

10 x cups and bottles = £1

1 x full recycling bag of bottles = £5.

Up to 12.7 million tonnes of plastic enters the oceans every year. That’s a truck load of rubbish every minute, which will take centuries to degrade and be impossible to fully clean up. To reduce plastic pollution, Greenpeace is working towards the elimination of single-use plastic packaging in the UK, and has been campaigning for the government to introduce a UK-wide deposit return scheme for all drinks containers.

Last year you returned 30,000 plastic bottles and cups and hundreds of you signed the Greenpeace petition, now signed by around 337,000 members of the public who back a deposit return scheme. The petition was handed as a ‘message in a bottle’ to environment secretary Michael Gove in advance of his announcement that the government will roll out a deposit return scheme after a consultation –  Result!

Volunteer With Greenpeace

Once again, Greenpeace will be running the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) for cups and bottles at Community. They are looking for some keen, engaged and enthusiastic volunteers to join them. If you are interested please click here for more information and to access the application form.

Security measures are in place, which include metal detectors and sniffer dogs, at all entry gates. Large bags are not allowed to be taken into the festival. There is no cloakroom.

Small bags are allowed into the festival with the dimensions W21cm x H30cm x D8cm. We appreciate your cooperation and patience when entering the festival.

Visit our Personal Safety page for more information about security at the festival.
