Lazy Day are your N4 Stage openers!08 Mar 2019
Lazy Day are opening the N4 Stage at Community ’19! The London foursome are going to get your indie party of the summer off to a buzzing start with their dreamy grunge pop and infectious hooks that’ll get stuck in your head for weeks.
Lead by Tilly Scantlebury, Lazy Day are finalists of Festival Republic’s ReBalance programme, which gives support and funding to female led bands and solo artists to help them take next step in their careers.
Speaking to Tilly about what it means to join The Kooks, Blossoms, The Hunna, Kate Nash and more at Community ’19, she said: “It feels good! We’re all local to Finsbury Park so it’s cool to play a festival so close to home.”
Lazy Day are set to release their hotly anticipated sophomore EP ‘Letters’ on 22nd March, which was supported by the ReBalance project.
The band have already dropped the tracks, ‘Double j’ and ‘Mumma’, which instantly hypnotise you with hazy indie riffs and totally relatable lyrics.
Speaking to Tilly about the meaning behind ‘Double-J’ she said, “I wrote ‘Double j’ about my best friend and how she gets me through a lot. It feels really good to talk about her strength and all that it does for me, especially shouting about it in big choruses”.
Big choruses are what Lazy Day do best and you’ll be shouting them out with Tilly when the band hit the N4 stage on 30th June.
Tickets are on sale now for just £40 plus booking fee.
